Tenth Annual WAS Warriors Weekend

Wintergreen Adaptive Sports held its 10th annual Warriors Weekend on January 24-26, 2014. For three days of exciting snow sports, camaraderie, and rest and relaxation for our honored wounded warrior guests and their families, WAS hosted 32 warriors and an additional 40 family members.

With memory loss and permanent nerve damage to his shoulder and arm, Chadd Jackson visited a similar event with his family after being discharged from the hospital five years ago.

He had skied as a kid, having been born in Colorado, where he still has family, but his injuries had undermined his balance.
