A big part of what allows Wintergreen Adaptive Sports to maintain and improve the strength and reach of all of our adaptive sports programs are individual donations.

These help fund everything we do–from our subsidized daily lessons to equipment purchases, from the repair of our facilities to the wounded warrior snow sports we offer at no cost, from instructor training to our summer paddling lessons–and every dollar is sincerely appreciated.

How to make your contributions work for WAS

Donovan Fall Campaign, Matching $1 for every $2

Donovan Foundation's Matching Fund provides one dollar for each two dollars donated to Wintergreen Adaptive Sports. This matching campaign, which is the single most powerful funding program for our organization, runs from Labor Day to Veterans Day.

Kroger Community Rewards

Kroger has a history of bringing help and hope to the communities they serve. Since the grocer's earliest days, Kroger has been a steadfast community partner. Wintergreen Adaptive Sports is proud to be part of their community rewards program. Kroger customers with a Kroger-Plus card can go online HERE and enroll Wintergreen Adaptive Sports (use number DC470) in the Community Rewards section.

Once we’re linked to your Kroger Rewards account, you’ll continue to earn Kroger rewards on your own, but WAS will also receive a quarterly donation based on the collective amount of purchases made by all enrollees. It’s easy and automatic!

Donating Appreciated Stock

Donating appreciated stock to Wintergreen Adaptive Sports, in lieu of a direct cash donation, may include substantial additional tax savings to you the donor. Donations such as this may be deducted from your income at its full fair market value, and, if qualified, you need not pay capital gains tax on the appreciated amount.
